Coaching and leading a sports program is hard these days. From parental pressure to an incessant focus on outcomes, and from the self-centered messages our athletes are bombarded with via social media and popular culture, to the pressures caused by changes in recruiting, NIL, and more, it has never been more challenging to coach, develop exceptional teams, and create a transformational experience for your athletes. Yet that type of leadership is needed more than ever, as are men and women who can spread this message and develop those types of leaders.
That is why, after 8 years of running the Way of Champions Coaching Conference, Jerry Lynch and John O'Sullivan have decided to take this one step further. We want to lead 25 coaches on the deepest coaching journey ever offered, not only a journey into their own coaching why, but a program that will give them the tools to teach this material to others.
This intense, four day retreat into the Colorado Wilderness at the incredible Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills will be full of laughter, tears, deep discussion on what it means to lead, and both small and large group breakouts that will influence the way you coach and teach this to others. At the end of four days, you will be a Licensed, Certified Way of Champions Trainer, with the materials and ability to take this message back to your team, school, or community. We will then follow up monthly with the group via Zoom to ensure you are fully prepared to not only live the Way of Champions every day, but teach it to others.
Dr. Jerry Lynch is the founder of Way of Champions, and has been part of 39 national and world championship teams, from the Golden State Warriors and San Jose Earthquakes in professional sports to Maryland and UNC Lacrosse, UConn Field Hockey, Middlebury Tennis, and UNC Women's Soccer.
